Wow. I can't believe you are giving this information awayfor FREE! This is better than any information regarding copy that I've found online hands down!

I thought I knew copywriting untill I found your website. Now I realize that I only knew the basics. I particularly like the way you break things down. Nowadays all you get is the re-hashed, watered down version of how things really should be.

I only had one question though. Can great copy overcome economic hardships? In other words is there a point at where great copy can not overcome price point or market value?

Another question that had was regarding sales pages (not sure if this is your forte or not), however you typically hear that you should not have many distractions on a sales page such as many outbound links and so forth.

Well I've been testing the one web page (sales page or sales letter) approach as oppose to the content site approach. But have'nt had much luck.

My thoughts are that because of the depression that we're in right now that people are wanting more for less. Therefore a content site would be a great Idea.

A content site would help to pre-sell my visitors, which of course will increase my time on site therfore improving my conversions (theoretically).

Your thoughts on this would great.

In any event thanks for the help, I'm going to use your techiques on my first clickbank product. I'll let you know how things go!

Great ideas in the testimonials section. Using these gives the testimonials more depth and dimension... makes them seem more alive and real.

Thanks

We are having some technical problems with our CRM. They are going through some serious updates preventing many of our emails from going out...and inadverently sending old ones.

So, the email about Banner Ads was unfortunately a very old one that was not meant to go out.

We sent out an email with a correction, but, I'm afraid that not everyone received that one either!

It's been very frustrating...hopefully these technical problems will be over soon.

A great collection of ways to reach people, but don't assume they'll work flawlessly, Scammers have been so numerous that people are developing a massive resistance to any kind of selling. Like a cat, you have to kind of sneak up on "suading" them, without them seeing it coming. They're sort of like a cat with a sore tail, in a room full of rocking chairs. People, increasingly, are alert to "sellers" and flee at the sight. :-)
If you use one of those three, be sure of your facts. If one is only partly true, the chain of trust will be broken. To mix metaphors :-), there's no bridging that gulf, once it happens. Don't just have proofs, have iron clad proofs.
Don't even expect "suasion" to work quickly any more. Be prepared to spend more time than you expect to build trust, no matter what "suader(s)" you use. Just saying "trust me," won't work anymore. We have to prove we can be trusted. Reputations are more important than ever, and more quickly lost (see Toyota, Barrack Obama, etc.)

The Redhead is a Tease! (one time only)

When I go back through today's post I will learn good stuff. I always do, on your blog.

But, not for the first time, your email promised something about banner ads. Each time, something else was delivered.

Something good, of course. And I'm not breathing the fire of entitlement here, but this is unprecedented for you. Just a test to see who's paying attention?

You have persuaded me that I should know something about banner ads. Until then I'll soak up the wisdom you offer, use no cross words, and give thanks.

Killer... Clayton, great muscle flexing here. You're the modern-day silverback to packs and packs of "big gorilla" copywriters.
