Great info guys. And even greater insight into how people think. As much as we are different it turns out psychologically we’re pretty much the same.

I really like the idea of layering your copy and then editing to make it flow seamlessly. Also jumping from left to right brain makes perfect sense. As you said you get your creative spurts when you’re tinkering away at some picky left brain stuff.

Seems the more you work at copywriting the more the subtle little details and emotions come to light. And the more sense they make when crafting copy.

Great post! It made me look at the copy I’m working on in a whole new light. Layers and Bullets and Momentum, oh my! …

I loved Tony’s analogy to a great athelete - "They see things at such a fine level of detail and that’s just a sign of somebody who’s a master at their craft."

I imagined someone like Tiger Woods standing there on the green, seeing each blade of grass between his ball and the pin move as if it were in slow motion, reading the roll and waves of the green, his whole being feeling the slight change in the direction of the wind just before the putt …

The lesson for me? Stop and look at your copy with eyes wide open … distinctly … clearly … mindfully … knowledgeably … at the finest level of detail you can master. Zen and the art of copywriting …
