As a copywriter and author of five books on marketing, I incorporate social proof in its various forms--testimonials, reviews, power headlines, benefit-focused copy--into pretty much everything I write.

Perhaps I took it to extremes with my sixth book, Principled Profit: Marketing That Puts People First. I am so convinced of the power of this material to change lives and actually change the culture that I went to press with 55 testimonials! (I\'ve gotten another 25 or so since then).

And here\'s an interesting thing--when I show this book around, I watch people\'s reactions. A lot of them notice Jack Canfield on the back cover and say, \"Wow, how\'d you get Jack?\" When I answer, I also point out that there are many other testimonials in the front pages--and I watch their jaws drop as they see them all.

Next thing I know, they\'re handing me a twenty and saying \"keep the change. I need this book NOW!\"

We like that!

Gary (and Clayton), thanks not only for giving me a chance to mouth off, but for all the wonderful work you do, educating copywriters. I\'ve been a fan and reader for several years.

And... it really and truly, just takes your breath away!

The \'believability\' factor is something we\'re all looking for in most everything we buy.

And, it\'s also true in the people we choose to share our lives with. 

Gary explained it, beautifully.

His clean, untarnished, laser fuelled copy is just fabulous. Worthy of emulation.

I\'ve not seen any of his promotions or complete packages. I have however, 
subscribed to his magnificent \'Bencivenga Bullets\'.

By your \'replaying of a fabulous tune\' Clayton, has triggered myself to thump my head against the wall.

Once I\'ve done that, I\'ll GO BACK and read all those \'mini masterpieces\' Gary has shared with the world on his website. 

OUCH... my head hurts!
